2. First Aid/CPR - Red Cross Certified Course in Standard First Aid
Yearly recertification CPR - First Aid every 3 years. Also covers blood born pathogen training.
3. Reinforcing - Blue Prints, work books covering all reinforcing steel in concrete.
Post tension cables, prestressed cables.
4. Structural - Blue Prints, Theodolites, work books, on all aspects of structural steel.
From making of steel and bolts, nomenclature to engineering and structural
placement of members. Cranes and related equipment is studied.
5. Ornamental - Blue Prints, work books - Jail cells, window sash, doors, ladders,
stairways, fence and store fronts.
6. Rigging - Cranes, hoists, jacking systems. Rope, knots and complete coverage of
Ansi B30.9 Standards.
7. Welding - Metallurgy, Flare cutting, SMAW 1G - 2G - 3G - 4G 3/8 plate.
Mig and Tig training. Advancement to International Ironworkers 1” plate.
8. Metal Buildings - Engineering, Blue Prints, work books and study of American
Butler Buildings, and various other building manufacturers.
9. Union Principles - Study of Ironworking Industry from
conceptive to present. Study of Local 89 management. Study of United States
Federal Labor Acts. Comet and IMPACT training.
10. OSHA 10 hrs - CFR 1926 Construction Standards and Smart Mark International
training.
11. Scaffold Users - Covers identification of falls, collapse, electrical and calculation
of a safe scaffold in a users atmosphere. Identification of types, loads and
Nomenclature of scaffold components is figured. Including scissor lifts and
articulating boom lifts.
